Del's Bar & Grill
About This Spot
Walking into Del's Bar & Grill, nestled on a bustling stretch of Pine Hollow Road in Oyster Bay, feels like stepping into a familiar neighborhood gathering spot where the pace naturally slows just enough to settle in comfortably. It’s the kind of place where the clinking of glasses and laughter weave through the air, inviting both longtime locals and newcomers to feel instantly at ease. The bar hums quietly with a mix of casual chatter and the occasional cheer from a nearby game on the TV, creating a warm backdrop that never feels rushed or overbearing.
The atmosphere here strikes a careful balance between lively and welcoming. You might find yourself perched at the bar swapping stories with a bartender who knows the regulars by name, or tucked away in a cozy booth with friends savoring something familiar yet thoughtfully prepared. There’s a rhythm to the space — steady and relaxed — that encourages connection without the pressure of hustle or formality.
Food at Del’s echoes this inviting spirit. It’s less about grand declarations and more about the comfort of good flavors and honest ingredients that satisfy after a day’s work or before a night out. Whether it’s a well-crafted burger with just the right balance of savor and crispness, a shareable plate of wings with a spicy kick, or quesadillas filled with melted cheese and a hint of smoky chipotle, each bite feels like a small celebration of simple, hearty fare made with care. The menu reflects those moments where food is meant to be enjoyed alongside good company, perhaps paired with a cold beer or a hand-crafted cocktail that settles smoothly into the evening.
What sets Del’s apart is the genuine human warmth that fills the room. Regulars chat comfortably across the bar, and servers move with a friendly attentiveness that feels more like welcoming a friend at home than providing a service. This grounded hospitality forms the heart of the experience — a reminder that the best local spots aren’t really about the food or drinks alone, but about the kind of enduring, easy camaraderie that draws people back again and again.

Cool bar. Cold beer. Tasty burgers. Bartender was friendly I think he name was Laura. Met some friends and a some appetizers, burgers and beers. Some people came in to watch the Islander game. Nice crowd. Would go back. Food was all delicious. Tried the wings and the Potato skins as an app. I believe my burger was “The Mikey”

Where everybody knows your name! Happy Hour is a must have some wings, quesadia and maybe a better burger than smash burger. Get the Rough-rider.

The food was very good, the bar tender was also the server. There were many local people sitting at the bar and they were all taking with each other. Very homey and comforting.

As a little reminder, I was the outsider today. So I don't want to send the wrong message to a local celebrated Bar N Grill. Let me start by saying that Pine Hollow Road is a very busy street, with vehicles traveling at speeds in both directions, so be careful crossing. DEL'S BAR N GRILL does not have a parking lot. Parking on the streets are free except on Fridays which is limited by time so read the signs (pictures enclosed). I gave this establishment 3 stars on the food that I had. I am not representing the whole menu. *I will say I had the most delicious crunchy juicy buffalo drum sticks I have ever tasted in one sitting and that was for starters. I then ordered the Snouders Burger with fries. The burger was a bit greasy and unappetizing, the fries were thin and over cooked. Fountain drinks like my ginger ale and my friend's coke lacked sweetness so order without ice if you can. Service was very attentive and polite. Tables opposite the bar sit high and there are a enough to satisfy a large crowd. There also is a Juke Box. Today was fairly empty inside when I arrived. The TVs were a little loud with WHEEL OF FORTUNE not sports. Separate Men's and ladies bathroom clean and presentable with strong electric hand dryer and almond smelling hand soap. ATM on the wall in bathroom location. Pricing was reasonable. All in all I would have to say that even though I wouldn't eat here again, to a local, it still looks like a good watering hole with friendly conversations. The Review Guru Long Island NY

when I first made this review roughly about two weeks ago, I was very disheartened. After the owner commented on the original review, I decided that I really should give Del’s a second chance because I do believe in second chances Since my initial negative interaction with the employee over the phone. I have in total ordered takeout from Del’s roughly about three times since then. My honest review is five stars. Not only was the food fantastic each time that I ordered it, but the employee that answered the phone was incredibly pleasant and friendly as well as when I walked in to get my food, that friendly demeanor transferred from over the phone to in person as well. If the owner did in fact, speak to the employee who was rude to me over the phone, I appreciate him doing the right thing and I’m glad that I spoke up to say something as well that the information resulted in a change. So if anybody is looking to check out Del’s, I highly recommend it for the service as well as the food, and should you ever come across a problem or an experience that is negative. I highly recommend reaching out to the owner directly as it appears, he is one that truly strives to resolve any issues and create a good experience every time and then give them a second chance. It is very much worth it.

Tried this place based on a recommendation from a local. Super cozy interior that is a small bar with some pub tables for you to eat and get waitress service. We tried the chicken quesadilla for an appetizer that we were both super impressed. The Teddy's boys burger (dbl cheese, bacon and egg) was really good. Would definitely come back if in the area. Prices were super affordable too!
